I spent many many mornings and evenings during the course of a year photographing hares in a multitude of settings - all the arable food groups were represented. I ended with about twenty shots I was really happy with - no mean feat given the nervousness of the hares and the speed they disappear. This was probably my favourite hare experience. I spent a few minutes not far from this majestic animal before it made its way off. The muted pastel colours of the ripening rapeseed really add to the calm scene.
