Barn in evening light (panorama)
Barn in evening light (panorama)
This is a barn less than a mile from my house that became an aid for me in emerging from the initial paralysis of the first lock-down of 2020. I have walked and run past this barn many dozens of times and often pondered angles for photographs. During the May lock-down I found the best angle for it in order to incorporate leading lines, the form of the fields and track, and utilise early and late light. I then shot it at last light and dawn - less than 12 hours apart. This is the result for the evening last light. The process reinvigorated my photography and I thank it for that. And for being a fine example of glorious raking evening light. Featuring in my 2020-21 portfolio box set and available now as larger prints in an edition of 25.
