This wonderful silver birch sits alongside the road in Glen Etive in the Western Highlands of Scotland. I took the shot during a reccy drive up the Glen at the end of a walking and photography trip further North. I really like this image with the tree pared down to its bare bones; contrasting wonderfully in its backlit spot with the shady rock walls behind. As close to a monotone as you can get without being monotone. Available in a portfolio edition of 50 and and edition of 15 larger prints.
